Florida is a gold mine of weird news. A day or two ago, I read about a Florida man who was bitten while trying to kiss a cottonmouth, a venomous snake that is also called a water moccasin. There’s a before and after picture here. It ain’t pretty. Today I read about a Tampa man who was cleaning out the attic and found “a box with what appears to be old Spanish coins, a treasure map and a skeleton’s hand with a ring on one finger.” The news article didn’t say if the treasure map said to “look where the hand is pointing.” That would’ve been so cool.
