The song was written by Flo Rida, David Glass, Marcus Killian, Justin Franks, Breyan Isaac and Antonio Mobley. Several critics have called Whistle "the least subtle song ever". However, Flo Rida has said that “blow my whistle” means “get my attention”. The music video for the song was filmed in Acapulco, Mexico.
