The song of the day is Things We Lost in the Fire from the 2013 album Bad Blood by English indie band Bastille. Frontman Dan Smith said hearing a friend talk of losing all of her “physical memories” at one blow in a house fire inspired him to choose fire as a metaphor for a breakup.
