Saturday Morning

In a blog I posted yesterday, I said that there was still a little snow on the ground, and more snow was due to fall during the night. And it did.

Looks like we received about five inches, just what the weatherman predicted. The current temperature is 28°F. The forecast calls for a high of 38° today followed by a low of 17° tonight. I expect to have this snow around for a few days.

Nuria is supposed to work today, and she is outside cleaning the snow off her car. I told her to stay at home today, but she is not hearing it. She is the most loyal employee God ever created.

Before I could finish writing this post, Nuria's car was clean.

Greetings

I'm loving the snow --- I enjoyed the pics -- I wish Nuria would stay home because one accident could be so bad.

My daughter had to be in at 6:30 so her dad drove many miles to get her there. He has a huge truck with 4wd -- and a huge desire to do the impossible or should I say the impassible?

We also have a lot of snow -- but I braved the elements and loaded my wagon with lots of peanuts, bird seed, fruit and corn for the deer. I was rewarded during the night to get to watch 3 huge deer eating from the wagon. However, there is lots of ice under that beautiful snow.

I nearly got locked out of my house as the back door froze. I used alcohol and kitty little around the frame and finally got in. It took at least 15 minutes and I almost gave up.

I have a large galvanized trash can for deer corn on my deck -- no idea how anything got the lid off --- could not have been the wind. Today we are expecting 20 mph winds -- love it -- love weather in any shape for that matter.

I'm impressed that Nuria is braving the elements to go in to work. Do these places ever close down due to weather?

Thanks for sharing your Winter Wonderland !! I'm enjoying the animal kingdom in my yard -- so much fun.

My new parakeets are nearly ready for watching You Tube of other parakeets singing and dancing. They surely come alive when watching -- who would have thunk?

Happy Snow day --wind day and hopefully more snow later.

Thanks for posting to let us know how you all are -- today is a good stew beef and soup day with grilled cheese !! Yum !! or cornbread !!

Who's doing the cooking?

Got that fireplace going? My repairman hasn't shown up yet --sure miss my fireplace --- all good things come to those who wait?

Have a wonderful and glorious day bathed in white !!

Best, LL
