21 Things

Some years ago, I came across these 21 pearls of pop-wisdom, and for some reason I decided to save them. (This is why my computer's hard drive is filled with junk.) I don't remember where I found them, nor do I know who wrote them, but they were probably written by a number of individuals (that number being 21) and collected by someone we will call "Number 22."  However, many of them are good advice and if they all were written by one person, I'm just a little impressed.

1  Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

2  Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.

3  Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.

4  When you say "I love you," mean it.

5  When you say "I'm sorry," look the person in the eye.

6  Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

7  Believe in love at first sight.

8  Never laugh at anyone's dreams. People who don't have dreams don't have much.

9  Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.

10  In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.

11  Don't judge people by their relatives.

12  Talk slowly but think quickly.

13  When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"

14  Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.

15  Say bless you when you hear someone sneeze.

16  When you lose, don't lose the lesson.

17  Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.

18  Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.

19  When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

20  Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.

21  Spend some time alone.

Good morning!

"Beautiful quotes, wise advice".

I like them a lot but there were a few that call my attention a lot because I have a friend that he is a wonderful person but he is so arrogant and so pride that he doen't accept things in life. He has a girl friend and I know he loves her and he constantly says to her "I love you" but I wonder if he really does love her. He rarely says "I'm sorry" when he makes a mistake or do something wrong because his pride doesn't allow him to do it, he never admits his mistakes, instead, he gets angry an takes an attitude that scares and he never allow us to see into his eyes.

I love him but many times I stay away from him and I have learned a lot and I apply these negative things to my life because I don't like to be in his shoes.

Thank you for sharing this. Great lesson for me, personally.

Have a great day!

Greetings

I really enjoyed these pearls of wisdom as they're timeless --never going out of style.

I've copied onto my own hard drive so I can be reminded often. Great find and thanks for sharing.
